A DARK WALK HOME:

Rolling Blackouts

As Cuba’s power grid continued to struggle, the capital city of Havana was prioritized for electricity due to its economic and governmental significance. This left cities like Trinidad along the west-central coast subject to rolling blackouts. On May 9th, tourists and locals leaving an evening of music and dancing at the Trinidad Terraces navigated dark cobblestone streets illuminated only by car headlights and occasional generator-powered lights after a blackout abruptly ended the festivities at midnight.
